What Fossils can you find at Blackgang Chine?

(Collecting from Blackgang Chine - 2006)

There are three bands of nodules full of fossil moulds. These moulds of Pterotrigonia, Senis, Globularia, Thettironia and Anchura can all be found. Below this to the base of the cliff are the Ferruginious Sandstons in which trace fossils of Ophiomorpha burrows frequently occur with shell debris. Bones are quite rare here but one party recorded picking up quite a large fragment of bone from the foreshore. It is not known if this came from the beds at Blackgang or drifted from another location.
